We love it when clients come to us with an idea they don’t think is possible and we make it a reality. That’s exactly what happened recently when an Encinitas family asked us to create a landscape design that was going to be functional and unique.
The yard was a relatively small space with great (but underutilized) views looking westward toward the ocean. Many of the plantings had become overgrown and the patio spaces had no cohesive design. The clients also wanted to create space for a Jacuzzi they planned to install as a part of the project. The goal was to come up with a beautiful and functional landscape design that would bring out the full potential of this small and currently underutilized yard.

During our first design meeting, our clients showed us a piece of artwork that that really spoke to their aesthetic and they asked if we could incorporate a similar concept into their landscape design. Our answer was ABSOLUTELY!
Together we developed a new landscape design for that would accommodate a new spa, provide ample space for outdoor lounging, and feature design elements inspired by the sacred geometry art that the client had shared with us. A deck built around the new spa was designed to provide additional seating where you can look out to spectacular ocean views. Other elements included in the new design were a water feature, outdoor shower/wash station, shade sails, and LED exterior lighting. And of course, what ultimate outdoor space could possibly be complete without a Big Green Egg!
This once small and underutilized space is now the perfect place to enjoy our warm summer evenings and spectacular Encinitas sunsets of the coming Fall.
